Hormone Thyroid Profile
This is a blood spot test for the following thyroid hormones: TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone), Free T3 (triiodothyronine), Free T4 (thyroxine), TPO (thyroid peroxidase antibody). This test includes everything you need to collect your blood spot sample at home and send your sample to the lab for processing.
A thyroid profile may be ordered as part of a health checkup or when symptoms suggest hypo- or hyperthyroidism due to a condition affecting the thyroid.
Signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism may include:
